Getting started

Is there a free plan?
There’s a 14-day free trial of Basic — no credit card required. After that, choose any of the three durations (3, 6 or 12 months) to keep using Hyperlists. We don’t offer a permanently-free tier; the trial gives you enough runway to know whether the product is for you.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. Sign up with email or Google, and you have full Basic access for 14 days with no payment information on file.
What happens when my trial expires?
Hyperlists becomes read-only — you can still see your tasks and export them, but you can't create or edit until you choose a paid plan. Your data is preserved indefinitely while you decide.
Can I import from Todoist / TickTick / Apple Reminders?
Not yet. Bulk import is on the v2 roadmap. For now, paste a list into a project — the natural-language quick add (#project, @label, p1–p4, dates) makes setup faster than you'd think.

Why no monthly billing?
Monthly billing pushes people toward short-term thinking and dilutes the "is this a habit?" filter. Three months is the sweet spot for forming a habit; six and twelve reward people who’ve made Hyperlists part of how they work.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing portal at any moment. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current period; after that the app becomes read-only. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.
Can I switch between Basic and Premium?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from the Stripe billing portal. Stripe pro-rates the difference automatically.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in GBP. VAT may apply depending on your location and is shown at checkout.
Do you offer refunds?
Within the first 14 days of a paid subscription you have a statutory cooling-off period (UK / EU consumers). After that, we evaluate refunds case-by-case for billing errors, duplicate charges, or extended downtime caused by us. Email contact@hyperlists.app with your details.

What's the natural-language quick add?
Press q anywhere in the app and type a sentence: Pay rent tomorrow p1 #home @bills. We parse the date, priority (p1–p4), project (#) and labels (@) inline — no menus, no clicks. The killer feature.
What recurrence rules are supported?
every day, every weekday, every weekend, every monday (or any day-of-week), every week, every month on the 5th, every month, every year. Type the rule directly inside quick add.
How deep do subtasks go?
One level. We deliberately don't allow infinite nesting — past one level you start managing your organisation, not your work. If you need more structure, use a project.
Is there a mobile app?
Hyperlists is responsive and works as a PWA — install it from your phone browser and it lives on your home screen. Native iOS and Android apps are on the v2 roadmap.
Does Hyperlists work offline?
Not yet. The app is online-first today; full offline support with background sync is on the v2 roadmap.

Where is my data stored?
On Supabase (Postgres on AWS). Every table has row-level security, so a single bug in our app code can never leak another user's row. See our Security page for the full list of safeguards.
Can I export my data?
Yes — Premium users can export their full account to JSON or CSV at any time from Settings → Profile. Basic users will get the same on the v2 roadmap; you can request a manual export by emailing us in the meantime.
Do you use my data to train AI models?
No. We don't use your tasks, projects, or labels to train any AI model. Premium AI features (Daily Recap, Task Breakdown) call models on your behalf with strict no-retention agreements.
Is Hyperlists GDPR / UK GDPR compliant?
Yes. We act as data controller for the personal information you give us; sub-processors (Supabase, Stripe, Vercel) operate under data-processing agreements with Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. All personal data is permanently erased within 30 days, retained only where required by law (e.g. tax records).

Can I share a project with someone?
Not in v1. Hyperlists is single-player today — comments, shared projects, and team workspaces are on the roadmap for v2.
Do you have an API?
Not yet. A read/write API is on the roadmap; if you have a specific integration in mind, email us — that helps us prioritise.
